Del West is a global manufacturing company, employing more than 150 people at factories in Valencia, California and Roche, Switzerland.

Rosemarie Chegwin is the vice president of administration for Del West USA. Chegwin, who launched Del West’s human resources department in 1999, oversees all leadership development, training, employee relations, compensation, benefits and incentive programs at the Valencia, Calif.-based engineering company. As part of the executive team, Chegwin is also instrumental in setting organization’s strategic goals.

Chegwin came to Del West from Atlantic Optical Company, Inc., of Chatsworth, Calif. From 1994 to 1999, she ran the human resources department for this optical manufacturer and wholesale distributor, including providing support for locations in California, Nevada and Florida.

Previous positions included launching and running the human resources department for Jay Nolan Community Services, of Valencia, Calif., from 1992 to 1994, and managing the human resources department of Lee Coltran, Inc., a Burbank, Calif.-based theatrical lighting manufacturer.

Chegwin received her bachelor’s in business administration from California State University Northridge. Active in her community, she sits on the boards of the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital, the Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center and the Soroptimist International of Greater Santa Clarita Valley.

Chegwin and her husband Steve are long time residents of Santa Clarita along with their grown sons, Christopher 25 and Brandon 19. In addition to the board positions, she and her husband attend and support other various charity events and enjoy giving back to the community.
