Our R&D department draws on four distinct centers of expertise: materials science, design & simulation, testing, and industrialization. We master every stage in imagining the innovations of tomorrow.

Materials are at the heart of all our designs. Mastering their finer points is essential if we are to offer our customers reliable, high-performance products. Our engineers work closely with the R&D teams of our sister company, Gamma Alloys, to design the materials of tomorrow.

It all starts with an idea. Once formalized in digital design using CAD software, we then use simulations to reproduce the real-life constraints of our products. Our teams use advanced simulation tools, ranging from traditional finite element software to in-house code. The design is naturally refined through iteration, guaranteeing optimum performance and high reliability for our customers.

At Del West, we have test benches dedicated to engine applications and specialized materials laboratories, enabling us to test your innovations on a 1:1 scale. This speeds up our iterations and enables us to assess the suitability of new products in an environment close to their end use.

Without industrialization, our best ideas would remain prototypes. Our industrialization and production teams work closely together to bring each design to life. Designing a robust production line, selecting the right production resources, developing tooling and training field teams are essential steps in delivering reliable, quality products to our customers.
